Control Room Operator

An opportunity exists for a Control Room Operator (night shift) to be employed on a permanent basis at Appin Mine.
Control Room Operators are the hub of our mine site communications and your primary purpose will be to continuously monitor and report on the condition of the mine atmosphere and infrastructure, thereby actively contributing to the safe optimisation of production rates.
In addition, you will coordinate the management of underground emergencies and evacuation, and offer solutions that will enhance safety.
To be considered, you will have Control Room experience within an underground mining environment or similar. Exceptionally organised, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proven commitment to teamwork, and thorough attention to detail.
A 3rd Class Certificate of Competency is desirable but not essential.
